1.) What are you doing right this second?

Sitting on my couch holding my daughter as she has her morning nap. Yes, she's snoring a bit.

2.) What book are you currently reading?

I'm currently reading Candace Bushnell's the Carrie Diaries. It's the prequel to Sex and the City (one of my all time favorite shows.).

3.) What is the last movie you watched?

I just watched Mona Lisa Smile with Julia Roberts for thw one millionth time. Such a great movie. Kirsten Dunst's character is such a bitch but I love it. **wink

4.)  What is something that you have learned recently?

Mmmm....well my daughter has been sucking on her bottom lip (she's 7 months old) and it has been getting chapped. I'm thinking what am I'm gonna put on her lip that help with the chapping but safe for to ingest. I of course Googled it.  I found the best answer ever, Lansinoh HPA Lanolin, which is mainly used by breastfeeding mothers for sore nipples. However, it can be used for baby's chapped lips as well, especially since its safe to ingest. Genius!!!!

5.) What is a good deal you got on a recent shopping trip?

Let's see.....I use coupons whenever possible. Here are 2 things  that I recently purchased that the price rocked!

Item: U by Kotex thin pantyliners 18ct, $1.24. Used coupon for $1.00 off any U by Kotex item. Final price: $0.24

Item: Estracell sponges 2 pk, $0.97. Used coupon for $1.00 off when you purchase any 2 Estracell products. Final price: $0.94.

You know you're a new mom when....

You'd rather leave your little one in he/she's dirty clothes then risk making he/she cry.

When you read every single instruction manual you get with each piece of baby gear and you're still confused.

When your husband is telling you how to put the diaper on when you attempt to change your little one's first diaper.

You get excited about trying a new baby product.

You'd rather carry your little one through the store rather putting them in the cart and risk them getting upset.

When you take he/she to the pediatrician because their umbilical card and freak out because its falls off before the doctor comes in.

Things I Always Have in My Kitchen

Here's a few things I always have in my kitchen.

1.) Eggs- they can be used for breakfast, baking/cooking.

2.) Coffee and coffee creamer- gotta have my coffee.

3.) Chicken or pork chops

4.) 5lb bag of potatoes

5.) Canned vegetable

6.) Italian bread crumbs or shake-n-bake

5.) Dr. Pepper

7.) Sausage or Bacon

I try to keep these things on hand for a quick meal. Enjoy! *wink*

First post...

This is my first post ever.....mmmm....what to say and what to talk about. Lets just say I'm 23 years old, married to the best man ever and have a beautiful daughter. She just turned 6 months old. I have 2 dogs and live in the middle of nowhere. I'm a stay at home mom and sometimes get pretty bored. This blog is gonna be my outlet. I'll talk about everything from babies, cooking/baking, cleaning, DIY projects and everyday experiences. I hope everyone enjoys. Comments and questions are welcome.
